D2 TEAM-Sim participated the 2011 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), November 28th - December 1st in Orlndo, FL. As part of the PRISM Consortium, we had a significant presence in booth #2581, showcasing our DIF technology for training development and maintenance.

D2 TEAM-Sim both exhibited and spoke at the 2011 DevLearn conference, in Las Vegas. The show was held on November 2nd - 4th, at the brand new Aria Hotel and convention center. James Cimino, D2 TEAM-Sim’s Director of Technology Innovation, spoke at the conference, as one of the Master Class Sessions on the Virtaul Learning Stage.

D2 TEAM-Sim is proud to be one of the sponsors of the first-ever mLearning DevCon. The mobile learning developers conference was held October 5 – 5th at Montclair University, Montclair New Jersey. Not only was D2 TEAM-Sim a sponsor of this conference, but was a speaker at the conference as well. James Cimino, the Director of Technical Innovation for D2 TEAM-Sim delivered two separate sessions at the conference. The first session was "Leveraging Gaming Technology to Deliver Effective Training" and the second session was on "Augmented Reality: The Next Dimension".

D2 TEAM-Sim was selected to be part of the serious games showcase session on Unity projects "in the wild".

D2 TEAM-Sim is part of the CAPdl winning team!

D2 TEAM-Sim is part of the winning team that won the Combined Arms Products for Distributed Learning (CAPdL) contract. This complex, multimillion-dollar contract supports the US Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), and our contribution will include researching and building state-of-the-art Interactive Multimedia Instruction and virtual distant learning products for the TRADOC Capability Manager—The Total Army Distributed Learning Program (TCM- TADLP) office. Tasks include the creation of sophisticated learning models, virtual reality training environments, and learning management systems for distributed learning content.

D2 TEAM-Sim part of the ADL Presentation at mLearnCon

D2 TEAM-Sim's solution for the ADL's "Trafficking in Persons" (TIP) mobile development initiative was included as part of the ADL Co-Lab's presentation at mLearnCon. The conference was held June 21-23rd, in San Jose, California.

The Mobile Learning Team conducted an empirical study that investigated the conversion and delivery of an existing DoD-wide eLearning course, “Trafficking In Persons (TIP) General Awareness Training”, to a mobile format. The team deployed the training content and measured user feedback as a field experiment to volunteers in each of the DoD services. The results of this research provided both quantitative and qualitative results, including learner performance and overall satisfaction with the mobile course. Thirteen vendors created their version of the same mobile content as the Mobile Learning Team did with ADL TIP. course

D2 TEAM-Sim exhibited at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Technology Showcase on June 22nd and 23rd at the Hartford Technical High School. The APG Technology Showcase displays many of the new and exciting Technologies that companies and government organization are bringing to the table to help APG meet the growing demand to meet the warfighters needs in the war against Terrorism.

D2 TEAM-Sim participates in the ADL Co-Lab’s TIP Initiative

The ADL worked with vendors who used their mobile content development tools to build a prototype of the “Trafficking in Persons” (TIP) course. D2 TEAM-Sim was one of 10 vendors selected to participate in this initiative. The results were presented on March 24th, 2011 during the ADL Co-Lab’s Mobile Learning Team’s Mobile Boot Camp: Mobile Best practices presentation at GameTech 2011. The presentation was given by Judy Brown and Jason Haag.
